This month, the Dutch cinema release of Silent Snow continues with several screenings in i.e. Wageningen and Maastricht. After the screenings, filmmaker Jan van den Berg (and in some occasions main character Pipaluk Knudsen-Ostermann) will be present to answer questions.
A special screening of Silent Snow will take place at Filmhuis Bussum on Wednesday February 15th. The screening is organized by the Bussum Environment Council and starts at 8p.m. at the Filmhuis on the Brediusweg 1. The objective of the screening is to create awareness on the serious consequences of the use of poison in our own environment. After an introduction by filmmaker Jan van den Berg, there will be a panel discussion after the screening, hosted by radio 1 commentator Margret Reijntjes. Participating experts are: Maurits Groen (sustainability consultant and the man who brought Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth to the Netherlands), Hans Muilerman (scientist at the Pesticide Action Network), Herman van Bekkem (specialist pesticides at Greenpeace) and Chantal van den Bossche (Coordinator Public Relations & Press at Women in Europe for a Common Future WECF).
