After winning the Golden Sun for Silent Snow (17th award for the project) in Barcelona I exchanged T-shirts with Spanish filmmaker Mario Pons Muria. On the left Norwegian film maker Line Halvorsen.
In October, Jan van den Berg was at the Lisbon film festival where he did a pitch and got lots of support for the NoFightNoVictory project. The photo was taken at the river Taag with German film makers Juan Camilo Cruz and Döndü Kilic
Another success story for Silent Snow this November. This month the Silent Snow project received it’s 19th award at the FICMA Environmental Film Festival in Barcelona.
It’s the second award in Barcelona this year and the 19th award for the whole project (including the short film from 2007). Silent Snow was also winner at the Human Rights Film Festival in June this year. Other awards for the feature documentary were given in Slovenia, Slovakia, Portugal, Italy and the USA. So far, the film has been translated into more than twenty languages. The Arabic premiere is planned for December 14th in Amman, Jordan.
Meanwhile, director Jan van den Berg is working on the project’s sequel: NoFightNoVictory. The film project got loads of support on Lisbon Film Festival where Jan pitched the project last month. To keep yourself posted on the new project: www.nofightnovictory.org
